I look down at the girl with the tiny hands next to me and in that moment I realized-
She wouldn’t be my baby too much longer. There was another little love growing inside of me... and so my emotions, supercharged with hormones began to spill out in small tears pricking my eyes.
She looked at me with beautiful blue eyes that were so sure of her place in this world, I looked back with so much uncertainty of what life would be like when that new baby got here. Even though it had already done it once before, I still wondered if that heart of mine was capable of growing to love another.
